Ravens have a long history of cohabitation with humans and feature prominently in mythology and folklore. As opportunistic omnivores, Ravens can adapt to most living conditions, eating insects, fruit, seeds, small mammals, carrion, and food waste. They are extremely intelligent. When a Raven finds an intact carcass, it may call to signal its location to wolves, which can tear open the carrion, making the viscera more accessible to the ravens. If a juvenile raven finds more food than it can handle, it may return to a roost occupied by other juveniles and lead them back to the food source, indicating an impressive spatial memory. Ravens also observe other species and other ravens and remember where they have cached food in order to pillage those stores. Ravens even seem to play, teasing large mammals and sliding down banks apparently just for the fun of it. The tracks of these fascinating animals are depicted on the front of this shirt, and the back shows a raven in flight over a colorful winter landscape.
