Nordic people believed that ravens are the eyes and ears of the god Odin. Ravens were the totem of the Welsh God Bran the Blessed, the protector of Britain. Northwest native tribes believed that Raven created the land, freed the people, and stole fire and light and brought it to light up the world. Raven is a trickster and a change maker.
In Norse mythology, Huginn (Old Norse: [ˈhuɣenː]; "thought") and Muninn (O.N.: [ˈmunenː]; "memory" or "mind") are a pair of ravens that fly all over the world, Midgard, and bring information to the god Odin.
